Vintage Mother's Day Card
May has arrived which means the next big holiday is Mother's Day. I haven't seen too many antique Mother's Day cards out on the Internet so I was quite excited to pick this one up at an estate sale. Enjoy!

Antique Photograph- You Can Call Me Al
I went to an estate sale this past Friday and picked up a few antique photographs, a couple of Mother's Day cards (I will show those soon) and and 1920's game. Although it was really crowded and the wait to get in was 30 min. I have to say the sale was a success! Here is one of the photos I purchased. On the back there was a name written as (I think) Al Carsau. So yes, you can call this handsome gentleman, Al!

Antique Easter Card
I was quite delighted a couple weeks ago when I received several comments about The Vintage Moth featured on Country Living! I actually had no idea that this story was coming until I saw some comments on the blog. It really made my day!
Here is today's image- An antique Easter card. Can you believe that Easter is coming up this weekend? Sheesh, time is just flying!

I'm baaack......
Yep, I had to take a little hiatus from the blog due to well, no time. I accepted a full time temp job for a little extra money and it was really overwhelming, especially with having my felt business on Etsy as well to work on. At the same time, my boyfriend also started his full time job as a manager working 70 hours a week. So let's just say that the house is now a disaster especially since our two cats didn't want to pitch in to help. But I am quite grateful that the gig is now over and everything can get back to normal. I plan to keep this blog going again so more images will be coming your way!
Thanks for hanging in there, waiting patiently for me to be able to get back to blogging. I will be changing a few items here on the blog in the next few days so if you get any errors, it's probably because I'm trying some new stuff out. : ) -Sarah

Vintage Advertisement- Hair Tonic
Have you all been watching Downton Abbey? I'm a little behind the trend and just discovered it on Monday. I watched the first episode of the first season and was hooked. The clothing and music and lighting are all so beautiful. I'm only up to the third episode so far as I have been savoring them for when I get my work done so don't give any hints about what is to happen!

Have You Heard of Craftsy?
Last week as I was lurking on the Etsy forums, I discovered a really interesting post. Someone mentioned Craftsy, a site where viewers can sign up for online crafting workshops and online classes, had just opened a new section called patterns where anyone can post their craft patterns for sale.
What I find so exciting about this is that Craftsy hosts your pattern for FREE which means you download the pattern on the site and when someone purchases it, Craftsy will send the pdf pattern to the customer for you. So essentially once you post your pattern, all of the work is done for you.
I came up with a pattern for Craftsy last week and finally posted it last night. The image came from an antique Valentine's Day card. I enjoyed coming up with the embroidery pattern so much that I think I will do a few more! You can check out my pattern and Craftsy's pattern section here.

Happy 2012 and a Fresh Start
Happy 2012 everyone! I'm back after a brief hiatus of posting new images. Whew! Was that a crazy Christmas or what? I hope to bring you many more free images this year and grow this blog bigger than before! One of my goals this year is to learn more about you- my fellow vintage image collectors because this blog wouldn't be so popular without you! Would you be willing share a little about you and how you are using the images I provide? Do you have a blog you would like to share? What would you like to see from The Vintage Moth in 2012? Feel free to post these answers or anything else in the comments section. I look forward to hearing from you! -Sarah
